What is Quilombola knowledge?
The knowledge of traditional quilombola communities is based on generational transmission through oral tradition, maintained by memory, history and ethnicity.
Our young people who attend educational institutions have knowledge about the environment they live through observation and stories. These reports present a vast knowledge of biodiversity as well as community and cultural dynamics. It is in our community that our social knowledge as a community generates the creation of its own territory, resistance and its own intelligence.

We have prepared for you a selection of posts about quilombola education that not only provide information, but also bring interesting facts about the topic. Therefore, I invite you to explore this space, where the voice of resistance and renewal echoes loudly.

Your knowledge is important
We are not descendants of slaves, we are the lineage of survivors of the slave system that tried to take away our humanity and we continue to survive daily racism, reinforcing that what we know is important, capable of expanding knowledge (in the academy) and bringing thought to bear (in the territories ).
