In June, the first religious festivals begin to take place – and along with them, a mixture of devotion and fun from our people takes place:

In Agouti, there is no way to separate the sacred from the ludic, the seriousness from the ecstasy. Everything that prays also dances. All who pray also celebrate the joy of the feast. From the Our-Father-Who-Are-in-Heaven to the blessing… nothing is obvious or fits in fixed terms, everything is mixture and contrast.

The community's main festivals take place at times that coincide with the holidays. The feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in June and the Folia de Santos Reis in December.
